Sony Bravia clients de la TV OZ refuser l'acc¨¨s ¨¤ un contenu 3D gratuit

17/07/2011 12:55

Sony Australia appears to prefer charging their Bravia TV customers for TV content as opposed to giving content away for free similar to what Sony does in the USA and Europe.

Yesterday Sony Global announced a new free 3D Experience on-demand streaming service, which delivers a range of content in 3D for their Bravia 3D enabled TV's but the only problem is that Australian's have been isolated from the service.

The programming includes highlights of Wimbledon 2011. The service, which has a recommended Internet connection speed of 10Mbps, will be available beginning today in the United States, Canada, the U.K., Germany and France to owners of all 2011 models of 3D-capable Bravia LCD TVs with Bravia Internet Video. Other content includes movie trailers from releases such as coque  Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc"Green Hornet" and "Monster House" in 3D.

Highlights of the FIFA 2011 Women's World Cup from Germany in which the Australian Women's Soccer team played will be also available to overseas Sony customers.

Instead Sony Australia is looking to charge consumers for content after last week announcing a $7.95 per month kids TV programmes which only offers 3 hours of new content a month.

They are also trying to extract an additional $3.95 for another Video on Demand service or $6.95 for HD content.

The free 3D service is available immediately after purchase of a Bravia 3D LCD TV and without registration. Sonysaid they plan to expand the service to Sony Blu-ray Disc players and Blu-ray Disc home-theatre systems in the future.

3D Experience will provide instant access to an extensive range of 3D clips and trial content from a wide variety of genres, including movies, music, accessoire Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc sports and documentaries, with about 30 titles available from today in Europe and the USA.
